IJCA — the International Jump Rope Certification Authority — is being jointly founded by partner organizations in Korea, China and Hong Kong, with its global headquarters planned in Hong Kong. It publishes one shared standard for jump rope ability and certifies jumpers against it, wherever they train. Standards are set centrally, while tests are run locally by partner organizations and accredited centers.

IJCA has two certifications. Jump Rope Certification, open to everyone, has twelve levels in four stages: STARTER (Lv.1–3, free), ADVANCED (Lv.4–6), PROFESSIONAL (Lv.7–9) and MASTER (Lv.10–12). Coach Certification has four Coach Levels, one for each stage — each Coach Level teaches, assesses and certifies its stage. Coach requirements are being designed by Jump School.

Up to three areas. Skill: a named list of tricks with a required number of repetitions, passed with up to 5 misses (Lv.1–9). Routine: a set routine of about 60–70 seconds from Lv.4 upward, with up to 2 misses per 8 counts. 30 sec Speed: the number of jumps in 30 seconds (Lv.1–9) — basic jumps from 40 at Lv.1 to 80 at Lv.3, and speed steps from 55 at Lv.4 to 85 at Lv.9. You pass a level by passing every area that applies to it.

Tests are run by IJCA partner organizations and at accredited centers. The first centers open with our founding partners, and centers in any country can apply to join. If there is no center near you, contact us and we will point you to the nearest option.

After you pass, the center where you took the test registers you as a successful candidate. The IJCA headquarters then reviews and approves that registration, and the certificate is issued with its own certificate number. Anyone can verify it online at any time with the certificate number and the holder's full name, or by scanning the QR code on the printed certificate.

IJCA is one shared standard, so a level earned at one accredited center means the same at every other, in any country. It is a private certification of jump rope ability rather than a government qualification, and recognition outside the IJCA network rests with each organization that chooses to accept it.

Levels 10–12 are the MASTER stage at the top of the Jump Rope Certification. They are routine-only levels — there is no skills or speed test. Each is assessed on a full routine set by Jump School, up to 2 misses per 8 counts; the routines are coming soon.

Accredited centers are partner organizations approved by IJCA to run tests and register successful candidates. Centers in any country can apply through the Become a center page, where the requirements for each center type are listed.
